Hi! I'm Julia!
I'm an Army brat who grew up all over the world and am now a graduate student in aerospace engineering. I still love traveling, I love my research (or, sometimes, complaining about my research), and I love making things. I decided to combine the three and make a blog!
This blog is a collection of writing, photography, and learning to be creative - things I feel we don't always make ample room for in engineering, but which complement the field perfectly! I am excited to see what comes from it.
I'd love to hear from you, so please leave feel free to a comment or send me a message if you want to talk about travel, grad school, or just chat.
What's with the blog name?
In mathematics, a random walk is a stochastic process by which an object wanders away from the place it started. Random walks can be used to model behaviors in many different fields such as chemistry, economics, computer science, and - occasionally I would argue - grad students on their path through school.
